Peter D. LeRoux, MD, FACS

Associate Professor and Vice-Chairman of Department of Neurosurgery, Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania’s Department of Neurosurgery, Penn Comprehensive Neuroscience Center.

Dr. LeRoux is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a Stroke Fellow of the American Heart Association, listed in “Who’s Who” in America and a winner of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies, “Young Neurosurgeon Award”. He receives funding from the NIH to examine mechanisms of brain recovery and regeneration. His research interests include Dendrites, neurodevelopment, bone morphogenetic proteins, glutamate excitotoxicity, neural regeneration.
